Precautions for Maintenance Work

For Safe Usage
Since the belt cleaning unit weighs 78 kg (171.96 pounds) or more, be sure to adopt the
correct posture when moving it by lifting it with your legs and not your back.
Pulling it out or pushing it into the machine with the incorrect posture can lead to injury
and/or back pain.
Do not touch the heated pressure roller for an extended period of time. Doing so could lead to
injury.
If using glue or glue remover that contains flammable gas, explosive gas, or the like, ensure
sufficient ventilation and make sure that the ignition point and explosion limit are not reached.
For details, refer to the instructions of the SDS for the glue and glue remover you are actually
using.
During maintenance work, wear all of the protective equipment described in the maintenance
procedures in the User's Manual (eye protection, protective gloves, respiratory protection, etc.).
Use protective equipment compliant with the safety regulations.
Using additional protective equipment compliant with the safety regulations is
recommended when necessary.
Be sure to wear eye protection during maintenance work on areas near the ink path, such as
when cleaning around the heads and caps.
Failure to do so could cause ink to splash into the eyes.
Be sure to wear protective gloves when using maintenance liquid.
Be sure to wear eye protection and respiratory protection when applying glue.
For details, refer to the instructions of the SDS for the glue and glue remover you are actually
using.
People with long hair should tie their hair and also wear a hair net.
Otherwise, your hands and clothing could become stained with ink, and your fingers and hair
could become caught in the machine, causing injury.
Do not climb on the machine while working on it. Note that the machine is not designed to
support the weight and can be easily damaged.
