Precautions
Do not use/store the camera in
the following places
• In an extlvmely hot, cold or humid pl+_ce
In places such as in a car parked in tile sun. tile
camera body may become delormed and this

• Under direct sunlight or near a beater
The c+m_era body m_y become discolored or
deiorined, and this may cause a malfunction.
• In a location subject to rocking vibration
• Near strong magnetic place
• [n sandy or dusty places

camera. This may cause the camera to
malflmction, and in some ca_s fills malflmction
cannot be repaired.
On carrying
Do not sil down in a chair or other place with the
canlerit ill lhe back pocket ol your trousers or
skirt, as tiffs may cause nmltunction or damage the
camera.
On cleaning
Cleaning the LCD screen
Wipe tile scrcen surlacc with an LCD cleaning kit
(not supplied) to remove fingerprints, dust, etc,
Cleaning the lens
Wipe tile lens with +tsol_ cloth to remove
Ihlgerprinls. dllsl, etc.
Cleaning the camera surface
('lean tile camera surface wilh a soil cloth slightly
nloistened wilh water, then wipe lbe surlace willl
a dW cloth. Do not u_ the following as tlley may
damage the finish or the casing,
• Chemical producls such as tbinnen benzine.
alcohol, disposz_ble cloths, insect repellent.

• Do not lvlucll the canlera willl the above on your
band,
• Do nol leave lhe camera in conlacl wilh rubber
or vinyl for a long lime,
On operating temperatures
Your camera is designed 1or use under the
lemperamrcs between 0°C and 40°C (32°F and
104°F). Shooting in extremely cold or hot places
lhat exceed

On moisture condensation

On the internal rechargeable
backup battery
This camera has an internal rcchargeable battely
ff_r maintaining the date and time and other
settings regardless of whether the power is on or
o/1,
Tiffs recllargeable battcly is continuMly charged
as long as you are using tile camera. However, if
you u_ llle camera lbr only shorl periods, it
dischalges gradually, and if you do not use tile
camera at all lor about ()lie lnonth it becolncs
completely discharged. In tiffs case, be sure to
chalge this rechargeable battery belbrc using the
camera,
However, even if tiffs rechargeable battel T is not
charged, you can still use tile camera as long as
you do not record the dale and lime.
