@ POWER button
Press this button to turn the power ON.
The JX-SV77 consumes approximately 2.5 watts of elec-
tricity even
when
the power
is OFF,
to back
up the
memory holding switch/control settings.
@ SOURCE SELECT buttons
Press these buttons to select the input source.
® EDITING CONTROL button
Press this button to start the playback and recording VCRs
simultaneously.
Pressing it again sets both VCRs
to the
pause/still mode. (Only with certain JVC VCRs.)
@ AUDIO LEVEL meter
This indicates the level of the audio signal output from the
MONITOR connector.
© MONITOR SELECT buttons
SOURCE 1/2 buttons:
Select the input signals (picture and sound before process-
ing) to be monitored with these buttons.
AUX/MIC button:
Press this button to select the sound input from either the
AUX or MIC jacks.
C/G PRE-VIEW button:
Press this button when the characters are only to be super-
imposed
on
the
screen
of the
TV
connected
via the
MONITOR output (when creating titles).
The buttons in the Character Generator control section are
effective only when this is ON.
PROGRAM button:
Press this button to monitor the signals output from the
REC
OUT
jacks. With this button ON, buttons in the
Character Generation control section do not function,
RETURN button:
Press this button to monitor the signal returned from the
VCR used for recording.
@ BY PASS button
Press this button to feed the input signal directly to the
output jacks (with no processing in the JX-SV77).
@ FADER controls
VIDEO FADER controller:
Use to fade the picture in and out. Normally set to the top
(IN)
position.
Slide
toward
the bottom
(OUT)
for the
background colour selected with the BACK COLOR knob.
AUDIO FADER controller:
Use to fade the sound in and out. Normally set to the top
(IN) position. Slide toward the bottom (OUT) to decrease
the output level.
© AUDIO MIXING control
Use this to mix the sound from the AUX audio inputs or
MIC jack with the source sound.

Use
these
buttons
to select the characters
to be super-
imposed on the picture.
