SETTING UP YOUR SYSTEM
1.
Connect all desired MIDI compatible devices, including DX Synthesizers, TX Tone
Generators, OX Sequencers, RX Digital Rhythm Programmers, and Music Computers
to the MJC8.
NOTE:
Note order of connections for future reference using the Connection Setting Chart
|
(see p. 18).
Switch on power. The Connection Setting that appears is the last setting used before
power was previously switched off.
CREATING YOUR CONNECTION SETTINGS
1.
Select desired patch number by holding down
and pressing either cursor
key ([€] or [2]). Cursor key
decreases patch number, and cursor key
increases
patch number.
Create desired Connection Setting by assigning MIDI IN (Patch) terminals to MIDI
THRU
(Output) terminals.
NOTE:
Output numbers are fixed, so connections are altered by manipulating MIDI IN
(Patch) terminal numbers.

to locate cursor (blinking) at number to be modified.
Press

to select desired MIDI IN terminal number.
Pressing
decreases input
terminal
number,
pressing
increases
input terminal
number.
Move
through
MIDI IN numbers by holding
or
down until desired number is reached.
Proceed by this method to complete Connection Setting.
IMPORTANT:
Never select or change patch number unless in a tacet situation.
Changing a
patch number is equivalent to insertion or removal of a MIDI cable during op-
eration.
Storing Completed Connection Settings
Connection Settings are stored in the MJC8's memory by assigning a patch number
to each setting. Proceed as follows. Press
[STORE]. The display changes to:
STORE
Patch 1
Present patch number
Patch number to be assigned
