  • Page 7 MODE FUNCTIONS OPERATION English DCS Privacy Codes Mode Button DCS OFF DCS (Digital Coded Squelch) is an advanced digital coding system allowing you to select one of 83 privacy codes to reduce incoming transmissions from other users on the channel. NOTE: If you are using a DCS code, both radios must be turned to the same channel and DCS privacy code to communicate.
