OPERATION
INSERTING GLUE STICKS
See Figure 3, page 9.
The glue gun uses full size glue sticks up to 5/8 in.
(15.9 mm) diameter.
NOTE: The glue sticks included with your glue gun are rec-
ommended for use with the M (medium) temperature setting.
NOTE: The M (medium) and H (high) temperature settings
are for use with high temperature glue sticks. When selecting
glue sticks, check the temperature rating to ensure the glue
stick is appropriate for your application. Selecting the wrong
temperature setting and/or the wrong glue stick could result
in damage to the glue or workpiece. In the high position, the
glue gun warms up to 400°F (204°C). Medium position is
340°F (171°C). Low position is 280°F (138°C).
NOTE: The H (high) temperature setting is designed for
construction and industrial applications.
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of injury, the glue gun should be
considered to be HOT whenever the LED on the
unit is illuminated. Following this rule will reduce
the risk of burns, fire, or serious personal injury.
The LED indicator will continuously flash when the desired
temperature has been selected and the glue gun is warming
up. The LED indicator will remain illuminated when the glue
gun has reached the selected temperature and is ready to
use.
„ Insert a glue stick through the opening at the back of the
glue gun. Guide the glue stick into the glue chamber until
it will go no further.
„ Install the battery pack.
„ Push the MODE button to select L (low), M (medium), or
H (high) temperature.
„ When switching the temperature from a higher tempera-
ture to a lower temperature after the higher temperature
setting has already been reached, the LED indicator will
remain illuminated.
„ When switching from a lower temperature to a higher
temperature, the LED indicator will continuously flash
indicating that the gun is warming.
NOTE: Different types of glue sticks will heat to working
temperature at different rates. Always test on a scrap piece
to make sure the glue is at optimum temperature.
WARNING:
Always place the glue gun so that nozzle does not
come in contact with anything while it is heating
or when not in use. Following this rule will reduce
the risk of damage to items, burns, fire, or serious
personal injury.
STROKE ADJUSTMENT KNOB
See Figure 4, page 9.
The stroke adjustment knob can be used to adjust the
amount of glue that is applied to the workpiece when the
switch trigger is depressed.
NOTE: The MIN and MAX marks below the glue chamber
show the minimum and maximum setpoints for glue output.
To increase the glue output:
„ Turn the stroke adjustment knob counterclockwise.
To decrease the glue output:
„ Turn the stroke adjustment knob clockwise.
SELECTING NOZZLES
The glue gun comes with a standard nozzle installed and
can utilize multiple threaded nozzle tips.
