Notes and additional steps
Caution: This function may emit harmful optical radiation. Do not look at the switched-on lamp.
There is risk of eye damage.
To start the camera, you need to do the following tasks.
1. Turn on the camera in the "Device ON/OFF"
2. open "HotTabCam UWP (Page 58)"
You can use HotTab UWP to switch on the front camera, the one at the top center of the screen.
Note: If the UWP screen turns white after waking up, restart the UWP application.

1. A dialog box with a warning is displayed. Before swapping the battery during operation,
select "Ready for hot swapping".
To support battery replacement, the system performance and display brightness are reduced
to a minimum.
2. Within the next 30 seconds, remove the old battery and insert a new, fully charged battery
into the battery compartment.
3. Press the "Settings" icon in the HotTab toolbar. If the charge level of the battery is not dis-
played correctly, check that the battery was inserted properly.
Use this icon to switch between an internal and external GPS antenna. The vehicle docking
station for the tablet supports an external GPS antenna via a standard SMA connector.
Requirements:
•
The tablet is correctly situated in the vehicle docking station.
•
The vehicle docking station has been connected to an external GPS antenna.
The light sensor controls the brightness of the screen.
If the light sensor is turned on and the environment changes, you will need to turn the light
sensor off and on again, and it will check the surrounding laminate to change the brightness of
the LCD accordingly.
Switches the operating mode of the touch screen. Select the desired option.

"Hand/Rain Mode" for rain/liquid
•
"Stylus Mode" for stylus
•
"Glove Mode" for glove
