10. Position the new system fan on the chassis so that the three screw holes in the system fan align with the
corresponding holes in the chassis.
11. Install the three screws to secure the system fan to the chassis.
12. Install the VESA mount bracket. See "Replacing the VESA mount bracket" on page 104.
13. Install the system-board shield. See "Replacing the system-board shield" on page 102.

Replacing the internal speakers

Attention: Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the Chapter
1 "Read this first: Important safety information" on page 1.
To replace the internal speakers, do the following:
1. Remove any media from the drives and turn off all connected devices and the computer. Then,
disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the
computer.
2. Place a soft, clean towel or cloth on the desk or surface. Hold the sides of your computer and gently lay
it down so that the screen is against the surface and the cover is facing up.
3. Remove the computer stand. See "Replacing the computer stand" on page 96.
4. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 101.
5. Remove the system-board shield. See "Replacing the system-board shield" on page 102.
6. Locate the internal speakers. See "Computer components" on page 33.
7. Disconnect the internal-speaker cable from the internal-speaker connector on the system board. See
"Parts on the system board" on page 41.
8. Lift the internal speakers to remove them from the chassis.
