Removing & Installing Body Components

Front stay
Rear stays

The seat must be removed to access the color
label, accessory socket (Canada model only)
and coolant reserve tank cap, to use the
Prongs
Seat
Lock
Ignition key
helmet holder, to store a U-shaped lock, and
to remove the left side cover.

Removal
1. Insert the ignition key into the lock.
2. Turn the ignition key clockwise and hold
it, then pull rear of the seat back and up.

Installation
1. Insert the front and rear prongs into the
front and rear stays on the frame.
2. Push forward and down on the rear of the
seat until it locks in place.
Make sure that the seat is locked securely
in position to pull it up lightly.
The seat locks automatically when installed.
Take care not to lock your key in the under
seat compartment.
Do not store gloves, towel or other items
around the fuel pump. They may cause
damage to the fuel pump.
