    Some instructions explain how to use the Setup Menus of the TV/DVD. There are two Setup Menus: one for the TV features while the unit is in TV mode, and one for the disc features while the unit is in DVD mode.

    ANT. jack (Antenna In) Connect an antenna or Cable TV signal here.This brings TV channels to the TV/DVD. If you do not connect an antenna or Cable TV signal to the TV/DVD (or connect to a Cable Box/Satellite Receiver through this jack), you will not receive any TV channels.

    TO THIS UNIT. THEN PRESS PLAY, IN ORDER TO PERFORM “AUTO CH PROGRAMMING”. When scanning is complete, the TV/DVD will go to the lowest available channel. Use CH. ▲/▼ to scan memorized channels.You can select non-memorized channels with the Number buttons.

    16 Watching TV The unit selects available TV channels automatically when you connect an Antenna or Cable TV signal to it. To reset TV channels, see page 19. If you are using a Cable Box or Satellite Receiver, you do not need to set channels at the TV/DVD.

    • Even if you turn off the unit in DVD mode, if you turn it on again with the STANDBY-ONy button, it will be in TV mode. If the unit was shut down by unplugging the power cord or due to a power failure, it will be in DVD mode when you turn it on again.

    ● To put the TV/DVD in TV mode, press SELECT. Menu Language This affects the language of the TV/DVD’s Setup Menus and On-Screen Display terms. This does not alter the language of TV programming, discs or closed captioning. Press SET -UP once so the TV SETUP Menu appears.

    To put the TV/DVD in TV mode, press SELECT. You can delete TV channels you no longer receive or seldom watch. Or, you can add more channels if the TV/DVD did not memorize all your favorite channels. Press SET -UP.

    ● To put the TV/DVD in TV mode, press SELECT. Menu Language Follow the steps below to select closed captions for TV programming. Not all TV programs and commercials have closed captions or all types of closed captions (second language, half-screen text, etc.). If closed captioning is not broadcast, you cannot receive it.

    Programming may be rated by the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) or according to the Television Parental Guidelines. To block any inappropriate programming, set your limits in both MPAA RATING and TV RATING. Press SET -UP. Press ▲ or ▼ to select V-CHIP SET UP.

    The Parental feature prevents viewing of DVDs that exceed your rating limits. This feature will not limit viewing if the DVD is not rated or coded. Check your DVDs and settings before letting children access the TV/DVD. Follow these steps to set the Parental Level.

    • Do not pull the power cord when disconnecting the TV/DVD from the AC (alternating current) wall outlet. Grasp it by the plug. • If you spill water on the TV/DVD, unplug the power cord immediately and take the TV/DVD to an authorized service center.
