Inserting the battery

Note: When you handle batteries, make sure that your hands, the product and the batteries are dry.

  1. To remove the battery compartment cover, turn it until the 'unlocked' indication (V) is aligned with the setting indicator (small dot) on the top part of the handle (Fig. 3).
  2. Pull the battery compartment cover off the handle (Fig. 4).
  3. Put the battery in the battery compartment (Fig. 5).
    Make sure the + and - poles of the battery point in the right direction.
  4. Slide the battery compartment cover back onto the handle (Fig. 6).
  5. Turn the battery compartment cover until the 'locked' indication (O) is aligned with the setting indicator (small dot) on the top part of the handle (Fig. 7).

Note: The product operates on one disposable 1.5-volt AA alkaline battery.

Check your product before use

  • Always check the hair removal head before use to make sure it is clean, in good condition and not damaged or worn (Fig. 8). A damaged hair removal head can cause skin irritation and reduced product performance.
  • If the hair removal head is damaged, stop using the product and contact Philips support at 1-800-243-7884 (US) or +1 (866) 800 9311 (Canada).

Using the product

The product is intended to remove facial hair from the cheeks, forehead, jawline, in between the eyebrows and from the area above the upper lip (Fig. 9).

Do not use it on your eyebrows and the areas right above and below your eyes (Fig. 10).

  1. Remove the protection cap (Fig. 11).

    There is a mirror on top of the protection cap for convenient use when you are on the go (Fig. 12).
  2. To switch on the product, turn the bottom part of the handle until the 'on' indication (l) is aligned with the setting indicator (black dot) on the top part of the handle (Fig. 13).

    The light ring goes on (Fig. 14) to give you a better view of the area you are removing hair from.
  3. Place the hair removal head flat onto the skin and make circular movements (Fig. 15)
  4. To switch off the product, turn the bottom part of the handle until the 'off' indication (O) is aligned with the setting indicator (black dot) on the top part of the handle (Fig. 16).
  5. Put the protection cap back onto the product after every use (Fig. 17), to prevent damage to the hair removal head.

Make sure that you always keep the hair removal head flat on the skin.

Cleaning

Keep the product dry (Fig. 2).

Clean the product after each use.

  1. Switch off the product.
  2. To remove hairs from the outside of the hair removal head, first blow them off (Fig. 18) and then brush off remaining hairs with the cleaning brush (Fig. 19).
  3. Twist the hair removal head counterclockwise and remove it from the handle (Fig. 20).
  4. To remove the hairs from the inside of the hair removal head, first blow them out (Fig. 21) and then brush out remaining hairs with the cleaning brush (Fig. 22).
  5. To remove hairs from the hair chamber, first blow them out (Fig. 23) and then brush out remaining hairs with the cleaning brush (Fig. 24).
  6. Place the hair removal head back onto the handle and turn it clockwise to reattach it (Fig. 25).

Storage

  1. Put the protection cap back onto the product after every use (Fig. 17), to prevent damage to the hair removal head.
  2. You can take the product with you when you are on the go (Fig. 26), or you can store the product in a safe, dry place at home (Fig. 27).

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the product.
  • Use this product only for its intendet household use as described in this manual. Misuse can lead to hazards or serious injuries. Do not use attachments not recommended by Philips North America LLC. Accessories supplied may vary for different products.
  • Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
  • Never operate this product if it is not working properly, after it has been dropped or damaged, or after the product has been dropped into water. For assistance call 1-800-243-7884 (US) or +1 (866) 800 9311 (Canada).
  • Do not use this product outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
  • Only use original Philips accessories or consumables.
  • Only operate this product on disposable 1.5 V AA alkaline batteries.
  • Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
  • Keep product and batteries away from fire and do not expose them to direct sunlight or high temperatures.
  • If the product becomes abnormally hot or smelly, or changes color, stop using the product and contact Philips.
  • Do not place products and their batteries in microwave ovens or on induction cookers.
  • Do not modify, pierce, damage or dismantle the product or battery to prevent batteries from heating up or releasing toxic or hazardous substances. Do not short-circuit, overcharge or reverse charge batteries.
  • If batteries are damaged or leaking, avoid contact with the skin or eyes. If this occurs, immediately rinse well with water and seek medical care.
  • When you handle batteries, make sure that your hands, the product and the batteries are dry.
  • Insert batteries with the + and - poles pointing in the direction indicated in the battery compartment or holder.
  • Do not mix different brands and types of batteries, do not mix new and used batteries and do not use batteries with different date codes.
  • Remove batteries from the product if you are not going to use it for some time.
  • To avoid accidental short-circuiting of batteries after removal, do not let battery terminals come into contact with metal objects (e.g. coins, hairpins, rings). Do not wrap batteries in aluminum foil. Tape battery terminals or put batteries in a plastic bag before you discard them.
  • Do not leave empty disposable batteries inside the product.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Only use the appliance to remove facial hair from the cheeks, forehead, jawline, in between the eyebrows and from the area above the upper lip.
  • To prevent damage or injury, keep the operating product away from eyelashes, scalp hair, clothes etc.
  • Because of hygiene, only one person should use the appliance.
  • Never use compressed air, scouring pads, abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids such as gasoline or acetone to clean the product.
  • Clean the product after each use.
    This product has no other user-serviceable parts.
