The DCS-4802E has an IP66 certified weatherproof housing designed for both indoor and outdoor applications. The built-in removable IR-cut filter and IR LEDs give the DCS-4802E the capability to view up to 20M at night. The DCS-4802E also incorporates Power over Ethernet (PoE), allowing it to be easily installed in a variety of locations without the need for supplemental power cabling.
Advanced Event Management The DCS-4802E can be set up to send e-mail notifications with snapshots when an event occurs, such as when motion is detected. Events can be triggered from several sources, such as motion detection and time based events.

Section 2: Installation Installation Connecting the Camera You can power the DCS-4802E two different ways: through PoE or through a power adapter. Powering the camera through PoE (Class 2): Connect an Ethernet cable to the LAN(PoE) port on the camera. Connect the other end of the cable to your PoE switch or PoE injector.

After completing the Camera Installation Wizard, you are ready to use your camera. The camera’s built-in Web configuration utility is designed to allow you to easily access and configure your DCS-4802E.
