PRECAUTIONS

MOISTURE CONDENSATION
DO NOT OPERATE ANY FUNCTIONS ON THIS UNIT FOR AT LEAST TWO OR
THREE HOURS WHEN MOISTURE IN THE AIR CONDENSES ON IT. LET THE
UNIT STAND WITH POWER ON (SEE BELOW).
WHAT IS MOISTURE CONDENSATION?
W he n a cold liquid is poure d into a gla ss, for exam ple, wate r vapor in the air will
conde nse on the surfa ce of the gla ss. T his is called m oisture condensation.
MOISTURE WILL CONDENSE ON THE UNIT IN THE FOLLOWING CASES;
• W he n you m ove the unit from a cold to a warm pla ce.
• Afte r he a ting a cold room or unde r extre m ely hum id conditions.
WHEN YOU EXPERIENCE THE ABOVE CONDITIONS,
P lug the powe r cord into a n AC outle t, se t the P O W E R switch to O N and leave the
unit a t room te m pe ra ture until m oisture condensation disa ppears.
D epe nding on the surrounding conditions, this m ay take two or three hours.
If you ca use a sta tic discha rge whe n touching the
unit, a nd the unit fa ils to function, sim ply unplug the
unit from the wall outle t, wa it a few m inute s, a nd
plug it ba ck in. T he unit should re turn to norm al
ope ra tion.
D o not place the unit on or near appliances which
may cause electromagnetic interference (e.g. speak-
ers, etc). D oing so may cause erratic operation of the
unit including picture and/or sound distortion or noise.
Avoid extre m e m oisture and dust.

Avoid extrem e heat.
Avoid extrem e cold.
T he ventilation holes prevent overheating. D o not
block or cover these holes. E specially avoid
covering the holes with soft m aterials such as cloth
or paper.
