Connecting the Antenna

IMPORTANT: Before placing and
connecting the High Gain
Omni-Directional Antenna, you
should have determined its
optimum location. If you have
not done this, refer to the User
Guide, "Chapter 2, Planning
Your Wireless Antenna
Coverage" .

The general outline of a typical
external antenna setup is as follows:
The lightning protector is connected
to the Antenna. The Antenna Cable
is connected to the lightening
protector and then connected to the
Access Point. It is very important to
connect the polarities correctly. The

cable end with the white tape must
be connected to the Access Point.

bag containing the

The connection is complete. Proceed
to the next section for bracket

Exterior Access Point
A
The bottom of the Antenna
has a removable black
covering. Remove this and
attach the lightening
protector as illustrated
below by inserting the
male end of the protector
into the Antenna.
Attach the male cable end

of the cable (the end
without the white tape) to
the lightning protector.
Attach the male end of the
cable that has the white
tape around it to the
Wireless-G Exterior Access
Point.
