AE96/AE Switch
This switch is valid only when the Nat/Emu switch (
leave this switch set to OFF. If you are using the card with a Yamaha DIO8, set
this switch to ON.
OFF: This card will be recognized as a Yamaha MY8-AE96 digital I/O card.
ON: This card will be recognized as a Yamaha MY8-AE digital I/O card.
Note:
MY8-AE96 mode (OFF setting) supports only double speed. You can select the 96 kHz
double channel on the host device, but it will not operate in double channel.

MUTE Switch

Typically, leave this switch set to OFF.
OFF: Audio will not be muted regardless of whether or not an HD/SD-SDI input
error is detected.
ON: Audio will be muted if an HD/SD-SDI input/output error is detected (the
SDI STATUS LED will light up in a color other than green.). Use this
setting if you want to use muted audio to indicate an error.
Note:
Keep in mind that connecting or disconnecting a cable may cause noise even if this switch
is set to ON.

TEST Switch
Be sure to leave this switch set to OFF. Otherwise, the card will not operate
properly.
■ Word clock settings
You cannot assign the MY8-SDI-ED as the master clock.
If you need to synchronize the host device to a house sync signal (external digital
system), use the WORD CLOCK IN connector to set the master clock of the host
device.
The audio I/O section of the MY8-SDI-ED features a sampling rate converter,
which will convert the sampling rate of the I/O signals depending on the settings
of the host device.
