To open an electronic lock the first time, remove the key cover (1). Insert key (2) and turn approximately 20
degrees clockwise (3), then turn knob counter clockwise (4). Pull drawer open and remain open until security code
is confirmed. Keep the key in a secure location, not inside the safe. Install batteries (see Battery Installation).
The following numbers are factory preset. You should change the entry code as soon as possible after purchasing
the safe to insure proper security.
Primary User Code #1: 1. 2. 3. 4. A
Secondary User Code #2: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. B
Enter the factory code, then turn the knob counter clockwise to open the drawer. You will have 5 seconds to
turn the handle before the locking mechanism is reactivated. When the valid code is entered, the lock will beep
twice and the green LED turns on. When an invalid code is entered three times, the lock will have a long beep, the
yellow LED turns on and the safe is locked for 20 seconds. Wrong entry for 3 more times will lock the safe for 5
minutes.
CHANGING YOUR SECURITY CODE
CHANGING USER CODE #1 ALWAYS PERFORM THE OPERATION WITH THE DRAWER OPEN.
1) Keep drawer open. Press the RED "reset" button. Two Beeps will confirm.
2) Enter 3-8 digit code, then press "A". Two Beeps will confirm success.
3) Test the lock operation several times BEFORE closing the drawer.
CHANGING USER CODE #2 ALWAYS PERFORM THE OPERATION WITH THE DRAWER OPEN
1) Keep drawer open. REMOVE BATTERIES, THEN REINSERT THE BATTERIES. Press "0 0".
2) Press the RED "reset" button. Two Beeps will confirm.
3) Enter 3-8 digit code, then press "B". Two Beeps confirm success.
4) Test the lock operation several times BEFORE closing the drawer.
DO NOT SHUT THE DRAWER UNTIL YOU HAVE CONFIRMED THAT THE
NEW SECURITY CODE(S) HAVE BEEN ENTERED CORRECTLY.
(Reset Button)
*WRONG TRY PENALTY --- Entry of three (3) consecutive invalid codes starts a 20 second lock out.
(During lock out, the key pad will not respond to any operation.) If entry of three more consecutive invalid codes
again, the key pad will not respond to any operation for 5 minutes.
If the code fails, follow steps 1 and 2 again. If the code works successfully, record your combination
number on the front of this form or somewhere in your records, then you should lock the safe.
