27 Troubleshooting
Edge of the marking field is faded or chipped
Cause:
A decrease of the laser power density at the edge of the marking field
may affect the marking quality.
Remedy:
LP-GS, LP-RC: Activate "Power optimization by marking position" in
the "System settings".
LP-RF, LP-RV: Enable laser power correction for the marking objects
at the edge of the marking field.
Marked characters are partially chipped
Cause:
There is an obstacle in the laser beam path.
Remedy:
Remove the obstacle between the laser emission port at the laser head
and the workpiece.
Cause:
The laser emission port is not clean.
Remedy:
Clean the laser emission port by following the instructions in the
"Setup and Maintenance Guide".
LP-RF, LP-RV: If contaminants persist, replace the protection glass of
the laser emission port.
Marking result is uneven, characters are deformed
Cause:
The laser head is not fixed properly.
Remedy:
Fix the laser head with the specified torque.
Improve the strength of the stand on which the laser head is installed.
Cause:
There are continuous vibrations coming from surrounding equipment,
such as motors and presses.
Remedy:
Take measures to prevent vibration.
