    Mounting Winch The Model H7604 is designed to be mounted temporarily to a hitch ball on a vehicle; however, you may also attach the winch mounting plate permanently to a trailer or vehicle. To mount the winch temporarily: 1. Slide the heads of the mounting plate studs into the keyhole slots on the back of the winch.

    4. Hook onto the pulling object using a pulling point, tow strap, or chain as shown in Figure 6. Figure 6. Cable attachment. H7604 2000 Lb. Electric Winch Never wrap the cable around an object and attach the hook to the cable. This can damage the object and fray or kink the cable.
