Mounting Winch The Model H7604 is designed to be mounted temporarily to a hitch ball on a vehicle; however, you may also attach the winch mounting plate permanently to a trailer or vehicle. To mount the winch temporarily: 1. Slide the heads of the mounting plate studs into the keyhole slots on the back of the winch. -
