DRIVE CHAIN ADJUSTMENT
The proper drive chain adjustment is 0 .4 ~ 0 .8 in (1 0 ~ 2 0 m m ) of slack
in the chain when checked at a mid-point between the drive and driven
sprockets on the lower loop of the chain.
first loosen the rear axle nut on the left side and then turn the adjusting
nuts © (page 34) on both sides by equal amount to obtain the proper
adjustment.
Retighten the lock nuts after adjustment.
chain tension, push the rear wheel to permit the axle to slide forward
after the adjusting nuts have been loosened.
