Forté Smart Dose
Smart dose is a software feature that measures the amount of time it takes to grind your weight
preset. This function allows for accurate (+/- .5g) grinding in time mode while using the
PortaHolder accessory.
In order to ensure accuracy, you must first dial in your coffee while in weight mode, with the
grounds bin in place.
Procedure:
1.
Once your coffee is dialed in, grind your desired weight with the grounds bin in place.
2.
When grinding is complete, immediately press the TIME button.

Next press and hold a preset of 1, 2 or 3 until the grinder screen flashes at you.
4.
The value will flash and change to the new time, representing the time it took to grind your weight
preset.

Changing the grind setting will change the amount of coffee produced in a given amount of time. If you need to adjust the grind, reinsert the grounds bin and dial in using weight mode. Then follow the steps to transition back to Time mode for PortaHolder use.
