The main switch controls the ignition
and lighting systems. The various main
switch positions are described below.
NOTICE
Do not use metal key chains or keep
more than one key on the same key
ring. While the vehicle is in motion, a
metal key chain, metallic key rings,
or additional keys could contact sur-
rounding components and scratch
them. Therefore, it is recommended
to use a cloth or leather key chain.

ON
All electrical circuits are supplied with
power and the vehicle lights are turned
on. The engine can be started. The key
cannot be removed.
TIP
 To prevent battery discharge, do
not leave the key in the on position
without the engine running.
 The headlight comes on automat-
ically when the engine is started.
OFF

All electrical systems are off. The key
can be removed.
WARNING
Never turn the key to "OFF" while
the vehicle is moving, otherwise the
electrical systems will be switched
off, which may result in loss of con-
trol or an accident.

Turn signal indicator light "
This indicator light flashes when a turn
signal light is flashing.
Neutral indicator light "
This indicator light comes on when the
transmission is in the neutral position.
