Troubleshooting

• USB devices (such as keyboards or mice) connected to this card will be available to use after Windows
boots normally. However, USB devices connected to this device cannot be used for BIOS settings,
MS-DOS mode, or Safe mode in Windows. For best results, connect USB keyboards and mice to a USB
port on the PC's motherboard and reserve the ports on this card for high-speed devices.
• This card supports ACPI power management, but does not support remote wake up.
• Energy saving modes such as stand by, hibernation, and sleep may not be available for some
computers with this card installed.
• If you use bus-powered USB devices, such as the Buffalo MiniStation, connect the auxiliary power
cable (included in your package) before connecting any USB devices to this product.
• Do not connect any other auxiliary power cable besides the one provided with this product. Unplug
all USB devices before connecting it.
• This device may be connected or removed while your computer is on. Dismount it normally from
within your OS before removing.
• To use more than 2 USB devices, connect a USB hub. Up to 4 USB hubs may be connected.
• Dismount and remove any attached USB devices before unplugging this device from your computer.
• If a connected USB device is not detected by your computer, unplug and then reconnect it.

Common Problems

A new expansion card may cause I/O port address duplication.
Check all settings for all cards. Remove cards one at a time if
necessary to confirm which cards are causing the problem.
If the computer still does not boot up after removing the
IFC-EC2U3/UC2, the computer itself may be broken. Please
contact the vendor you purchased your computer from.
Turn off your computer and reinstall the card. If there is an
empty Express card slot available, try to install the card in a
different Express card slot.
