D/A: Digital-to-Analog converter. An electronic device, often an integrated circuit, that
converts a finite set of discrete values into an equivalent electrical quantity, such as voltage
or current. Many analog instruments use a D/A converter to convert the digital reading
information into an analog signal for analog output.
