Vocollect SRX/SRX2 Quick Start Guide
Manually pairing the headsets and Talkman devices
With first use, manually pair the headsets with Talkman devices. You must manually pair the headsets with
devices the first time the hardware is used together. Once manually paired, a headset automatically pairs with
the device if the parameter SrxAutoPairEnable is set to 1 in the device profile.
Manual pairing is described briefly below. See the Vocollect Hardware Reference for more information on
pairing headsets and devices.

Make sure the headset is powered off; the Talkman device is not in a charger and that there is not a wired
headset connected to it; and the Talkman device is in sleep mode (its green LED indicator is flashing). If the
LED indicator is solid green, press the Play/Pause button to put it in sleep mode.

headset is now in low-power pairing mode.
2. Press and hold the Plus and Minus buttons on the Talkman device for two seconds and then
immediately hold the headset and device so they are within six inches of each other but not touching.
The blue LED indicator on the Talkman device turns on. After about 20-30 seconds (sometimes

This indicates pairing has taken place.

Using a listening kit with SRX/SRX2 headsets
A listening kit can be connected to a device in order to listen to the audio output of the device or the dialog
between the device and operator for training or demonstration purposes.
To setup this feature, set the SrxSupervisorAudioEnable parameter in the device profile or the task package
loaded onto the device to "1" to listen to the device and operator dialog or "2" to listen to just the device output
(recommended).
If not using a listening kit, ensure that SrxSupervisorAudioEnable is set to "0" (default), for optimal performance.
