5. While keeping the "reset" button depressed, power on the EVA9000 by flipping the
power switch to the On position.
THE RECOVERY PROCESS IS IN PROGRESS!!
6. Release the reset button when the front power LED starts to blink. The LED will stay on
steady indicating the start of the recovery process. The TFTPD32 window on the host
Windows PC should show that the eva-recovery-image.bin file is getting uploaded to the
unit.
NOTE: If the TFTPD32 host window on the PC does not show any activity, check the
network connection of the host PC and the EVA9000 to the switch or the router and
repeat these steps. Rarely, the EVA9000's Ethernet port may fail to initialize. This can be
resolved by powering down the unit for about 30 seconds by using the power switch in
the back.
The recovery process can take a while to complete (up to 10 minutes),
the unit while this process is going on. The front LED will blink rapidly when the recovery
process is completed. Once the recovery process is completed the EVA9000 will
automatically reboot and the onscreen Setup Wizard will begin.
NOTE: Remember to change your PC IP address back to its original settings after running
the recovery procedure.
