EVA9000 Recovery Tool Procedure
There are several instances when you should use the EVA9000 recovery tool to try to and
recovery a failed unit:
Screen freezes on booting at the "Powering Up..." screen

A firmware update fails and unit will no longer fully boot

After a firmware update the unit continuously reboots

Power light is on but no video, even though TV inputs are set correctly

No power light comes on (possibly corrupted firmware)
Requirements:

A Windows XP or a Windows Vista PC
-
A router or switch to connect to the EVA9000 and PC
-
The TFTP boot recovery tool included in the Recovery download
(http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9796
Ensure that the Windows firewall or equivalent desktop firewall is disabled before performing
these steps:
1. Connect the EVA9000 using an Ethernet cable and the host Windows PC to a switch or
router. Plug the EVA9000 power cord into the unit at this time, but make sure the power
switch is in the off position.
