HP188F2 - Fitting the side handle (fig. A)
Loosen the side handle (8) by turning it
counterclockwise.
Slide the side handle over the chuck and onto
the housing.
Tighten the side handle by turning it clockwise.
USE
Let the tool work at its own pace.
Do not overload.
Charging the battery
The battery needs to be charged before first use
and whenever it fails to produce sufficient power
on jobs that were easily done before.
A new battery, or a battery that has not been used
for an extended period of time, achieves full
performance only after approx. 5 charging and
discharging cycles. The battery may become warm
while charging; this is normal and does not
indicate a problem.
Do not charge the battery at ambient
temperatures below 4 °C or above 40 °C.
Recommended charging temperature:
approx. 24 °C.
F2K/F2B models - 1 hour charger (fig. E)
After normal use, a charging time of 60 minutes
will provide sufficient power for most applications.
However, further charging for up to 90 minutes
could significantly increase the use time,
depending on the battery and charging
conditions.
To charge the battery (9), remove it from the
tool and insert it into the charger (11).
The battery will only fit into the charger in one
way. Do not force. Be sure that the battery is
fully seated in the charger.
Plug in the charger.
Check if the red charging indicator (13) lights
up. If the green end of charge indicator (14)
lights up now instead, the battery is too hot
and cannot be charged. If this happens,
remove the battery from the charger, let the
battery cool down for approx. 1 hour and
re-insert it.
After approx. 1 hour of charging, the red charging
indicator (13) will stop lighting and the green end
of charge indicator (14) will light up. The battery is
now fully charged.
Remove the battery from the charger.
F2C models - 15 minute charger (fig. F)
After normal use, a charging time of 15 minutes
will provide sufficient power for most applications.
However, further charging for up to 30 minutes
could significantly increase the use time,
depending on the battery and charging
conditions.
To charge the battery (9), remove it from the
tool and insert it into the charger (12).
The battery will only fit into the charger in one
way. Do not force. Be sure that the battery is
fully seated in the charger.
Plug in the charger.
While charging, the red charging indicator (13) will
blink slowly (once per second). If the indicator
blinks short, then long, the battery is too hot.
Charging will start once the battery has cooled
down. If the indicator blinks fast (twice per
second), the battery is defective.
After approx. 15 minutes of charging, the red
charging indicator (13) will be lit permanently.
The battery is now fully charged.
Remove the battery from the charger.
