CLEANING & CARE
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Be sure to unplug from the electrical supply source before cleaning.
CLEANING THE EXTERIOR
• The exterior of the evaporative air cooler should be cleaned with a damp cloth. Do
not use any harsh detergents or solvents.
• See the Evaporative Air Cooler Set-up section on page 7 for instructions on how to
access the water tank, cooling pad and filter.
CLEANING THE WATER TANK
• The water tank should be emptied regularly. Clean the water tank with a mild
soap and water solution. Rinse and dry thoroughly before adding clean water and
reinstalling in the unit.
CLEANING THE COOLING PAD AND FILTER
• The cooling pad and filter should be cleaned at least once a month. If they are dirty
or clogged it will effect the performance of the air cooler. They can be rinsed with
running water. A brush can be used to remove dust or residue. Air dry before
re-installing.
• It is recommended that you replace the cooling pad approximately every 6 months
depending on usage and mineral content of the water.
If the evaporative air cooler will not be used for a long time, make sure there is
no water in the tank. The air cooler, including the filter and cooling pad should be
clean and completely dry. Pack the unit to prevent dust from entering for long term
.
