Data Communication
Data communications capabilities let you transfer data between two CASIO PV
Units, between a PV Unit and a BN-10/BN-20 Unit, or between a PV Unit and a
BN-10A/BN-20A/BN-40A Unit. You can also receive data from a CASIO SF,
CSF, or NX Series Unit, and communicate with a personal computer using PC
sync for Windows.
See the manual that comes with PC sync for Windows for details on connecting
to a computer and setting up for communication.
If you plan to synchronize with more than one computer and prefer to have a
separate cable for each computer, it is up to you to purchase the SB-300 cables
you need. Note that one SB-300 cable comes with your PV Unit.
In order to perform serial data communication with a computer, you need to
purchase a separately available SB-305 cable.

Specifying the Type of Cable You are Using

You can use either the USB cable that comes with your PV-S1600 Unit or a
separately available SB-305 serial cable for data communication. Note, however,
that before connecting, you need to perform the following procedure to specify
the type of cable you will be using.
1. On the Mode Menu, tap Menu Bar to display the menu bar, and then
tap Option.
2. On the screen that appears, tap Communication setup to display the
cable type specification screen.
3. Specify the type of cable you will be connecting by tapping the button
in front of its name.
4. Tap Yes.
