OPERATION

STANDBY MODE

The CP-725 is in "Standby" mode whenever it is
idle, waiting for a call. If the handset is in the
charging cradle, the display will either show the
ringer status, for example:
RINGER IS ON
OR
If you have new caller ID entries from recent
unanswered calls, it will show the "New Callers"
message:
<NEW CALLERS>
CALLER ID
Press
to view the name and
number of "New Callers".
If the handset is in "Standby Mode" but not in
the charging cradle, the display will go blank
after a short time to conserve battery power.

TO PLACE A CALL

Pick up the handset and press
The display will briefly show:
SCANNING...
TALK
CH03
This display indicates that the handset is
establishing contact with the charging cradle.
In this example, CH03 is the current channel
number of 25 available channels in your area.

TALK

After this, the "Volume" display will
appear:
VOLUME
CH03

Wait for dial tone and dial the phone
number. The number will appear in the
display as you dial.
INDICATOR on the charging cradle lights to show
the handset is in use.
