6.2 Cleaning

While at maintenance work, perform the cleaning procedure as described below.

To prevent an electric shock, burn, injury, etc., always turn the
printer off and unplug the power cord before starting cleaning.
Never use alcohol or thinner to clean the printer cover. These
chemicals can damage the components as well as the cover.
Be careful not to get water onto the printer mechanism or any
electrical components.
Do not use a hard or abrasive brush or cloth to clean the
printer. To do so may cause discoloration or deformation of the
printer cover.
MAINTENANCE
Timing
When the cover looks soiled.
When paper is jammed, skewed, wrinkled,
folded or torn at frequent intervals
MAIN UNIT
Outer cover
Clean it with a soft, clean cloth moistened with a mild detergent.
