Page 12: Before You Start
Step 1: Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari and etc. On the Address bar type in the LAN IP Address of the DSL-2750U which is 192.168.1.1 and then press on the Enter key on your keyboard. - Page 13 Step 3: Go to SETUP tab, select ‘3G Internet Setup’ on the left hand side. Plug in the 3G USB dongle to the USB port at the back of the DSL-2750U. Wait for the “modem status” to change to “DISCONNECT” (This may take several minutes). After that, Click “Add”.
- Page 14 -14- Step 4: Check the box “Enable USB Modem” Enter the APN of your 3G service provider, username, password and dial number, if any (pls check the setting with your service provider if you are not sure). Click “Apply/Save”. Step 5: Wait for the “modem status” to show “CONNECTED” CAUTION: Do NOT click on the “Manual Dial”...
- Page 15 -15- Step 6: Once it shows “CONNECTED”, you may go to Status>Device Info to check the 3G internet connection status and the public IP address. - Page 16 3G connection to be used as the primary internet connection, and WAN failover function will NOT work! By default, when there is an ADSL connection and a 3G connection configured on the DSL-2750U, it will take the ADSL connection as the PRIMARY WAN connection.
- Page 17 -17- When the ADSL connection is DOWN, as long as your 3G dongle is connected to the device and you have done your 3G configuration properly, 3G connection will be triggered automatically to take over as the primary internet connection. Note: This may take about a minute to get connected (depends on 3G signal and connectivity within your area).
