User codes for operation

Through the Symphony keypad's User Set-up, 10 user codes can be added onto the control panel as any
authority or user number allowed by the control panel. A name needs to be given to the user.
What if I need more codes?
•
Additional codes must be added in the Console mode (display looks like a standard keypad). Refer to
control panel instructions on how to add user codes via standard keypad.
User codes for Internet access
•
Through the Symphony keypad's User Set-up, 6 Internet users can be programmed. A name needs be
assigned to an Internet user. A button will appear on the Home Page displaying the user name. These users
must also be added through the Internet account setup through a web browser as explained in network
account setup.

Verify that your Email is compatible
1. Your email service provider must use POP3 (Post Office Protocol) format with no security encryption.
2. Some ISPs such as AOL use proprietary mail protocols that are not compatible with the Symphony.
3. MSN uses encryption that causes it to be incompatible.
4. Yahoo has POP3 email available, but you must specifically sign up for it.
You need to check with your email service provider to verify that you have entered the correct mail server
name in the Symphony user setup and that they use POP3 with no security restrictions.

Verify that the username, password, and POP3 address have all been entered correctly.

Wait for the system to update
•
Once a change is made, you must wait at least 1 hour before the new e-mail changes are
implemented.
•
E-mail retrieval occurs on an hourly basis, so once the changes for e-mail has been updated in
the system, it can be as much as another hour (depending upon where in the cycle) before an
email may be received at the AUI.
