Procedures After Replacement

After replacement of each part, check the unit condition by using hardware monitor. Perform setting the date and time
in the system administration setting menu. (Refer to the instruction manual.)
Front board
• When replacing the front board, battery error is appeared. The reset of battery condition is needed.
Note
How to reset the battery remaining quantity, contact your local Sony Sales Office/Service Center.
• After replacing the Front board, set the date and time again.
Reset the Date and Time in System Admin Settings menu. (Refer to Instructions for Use.)
MB board
After replacing the MB board, set the date and time again.
Reset the Date and Time in System Admin Settings menu. (Refer to Instructions for Use.)
HDD
Initialize the new HDD after replacement. (Refer to
Perform the reset of HDD abnormal shut down number of times.

How to reset of HDD abnormal shut down number of times, contact your local Sony Sales Office/Service Center.
USBDOM
Note
When replacing the USBDOM, All recording data are deleted. Take the backup as needed.
• After replacing the USBDOM, turn on the power, "Welcome" indication is appeared, after five minutes progress,
the indication becomes "INITIALIZE ERR".
• Perform the recovery with recovery media. When recovering, the unit is rebooted twice automatically.

For obtaining the recovery media, please contact your local Sony Sales Office/Service Center.
Lithium battery
Refer to

HPR-50 board
To keep the compatibility application software of this unit, the firmware version-up of HPR-50 board is needed. After
replacing the HPR-50 board, update of application software is needed.
Update the application software to same as version that is installed in this unit.

After replacing the DVD drive, the resets of DVD drive use time and the opening and shutting number of times are
needed.
