NEC Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller
NEC Electronics USB 3.0 Root Hub
If your OS is Windows XP, these devices will be in "USB (Universal Serial Bus) Controller". In

installed correctly, with no "x" or "!" marks next to them. If they are not, there are several things
that can cause this.

and reinstall it correctly. Consult the Quick Setup Guide for more information.
• The PCI Express slot of the computer is broken, or disabled in the BIOS settings of the computer.
Check the computer's BIOS settings. Also, try installing the card in a different slot.
• The computer's BIOS may need to be updated. Contact the manufacturer of your computer for

USB devices don't function correctly when connected
Do some of your USB devices not work as expected when connected to the IFC-PCIE2U3?
There are several things that can cause this.
• Check that all connectors are plugged together securely. Unplug and reconnect each
connector. Clean any dirty or dusty connectors.
• Are devices conflicting? Disconnect all USB devices and then reconnect one at a time. Make
sure that each works separately.
• Has a USB port shut down because of overvoltage? In the future, only use the device
that caused the overvoltage with its own power supply attached. The isolated port can be
recovered by the following method
(1) Disconnect all of connected USB devices.
(2) Right-click on [My Computer] in the Start menu.
(3) Choose [Manage].
(4) Click [Device Manager].
(5) Delete the device (see above for device names) from Device Manager.
(6) Restart the computer.
• Power is not connected to this device. Many devices require a dedicated power supply to
function properly. Only use such devices with the correct power supply attached.
• A USB device is not compliant with USB 1.1 or later. The IFC-PCIE2U3 should work with any
USB 1.1, 2.0, or 3.0 device. USB 1.0 devices are not supported and may not work correctly.
