Registering a DECT Handset on the DXE96+

Deleting a DECT Handset that is already Registered.

You must first delete the registration of the old DECT handset before you can replace it with a new
handset. Once deleted the old handset can no longer be used to make or receive calls on the
telephone system.
To delete the registration you will need access to a key telephone with an LCD display.
1. Enter Administrator mode. (See How to Access Administrator Mode for
instructions)
2. At the Enter Command> prompt enter 3104 with the keypad.
The display will show

4. Enter the port number with the keypad.
DO NOT enter 0 as this will remove ALL DECT handsets from the telephone system
and you will have to register all handsets again.
See Identify the Extension Port that a DECT handset is Registered to for details of
how to find the port number of the DECT handset that you want to delete.
The display will show the port
number you enter
5. Press HOLD
The display will show
6. Enter 1 to delete the DECT handset.
If you do not want to delete this port just press HOLD to return to the
Enter Command> prompt
The display will show

[SA]

3104:DECT-PP REMOVE

Press the CLEAR button
if you want to enter a
different port number
Press the CLEAR button
to remove the digit 1
from the display
