Preface
This document provides instructions for unpacking a Cisco NCS 6000 Series chassis and its components,
attaching a dolly, moving the chassis, and securing the chassis to the floor.
The Cisco NCS 6008 Line Card Chassis (LCC) and the Cisco NCS 6000 Fabric Card Chassis (FCC) are
products in the Cisco Network Convergence System 6000 Series family. The companion document to this
guide is the Cisco Network Convergence System 6000 Series Routers Site Planning Guide that describes
how to plan and prepare your site facilities for chassis installation.

Audience

This guide is written for hardware installers and system administrators of Cisco routers.
This publication assumes that the user has a substantial background in installing and configuring router and
switch-based hardware. The reader should also be familiar with electronic circuitry and wiring practices, and
have experience as an electronic or electromechanical technician.
