APPLICATION
The 203219DCEB resistor is connected to the TACO zone
valve to assure compatibility with powerstealing thermo-
stats during a call for heat. The 203219DCEB is a
3240 ohms resistor.
INSTALLATION
When Installing this Product...
1. Read these instructions carefully. Failure to follow
them could damage the product or cause a hazard-
ous condition.
2. Check the ratings on the resistor to make sure the
resistor is suitable for your application.
3. Installer must be a trained, experienced service
technician.
4. After installation is complete, check out product
operation as provided in these instructions.
CAUTION
Disconnect power supply before installing the
resistor to prevent electrical shock or equipment
damage.
To Install the Resistor
1. Loosen the TACO zone valve terminal screws
marked 1 and 2. See Fig. 1.
2. Slide the resistor leads under the terminal screws
and tighten the screws.
CAUTION
• Do not short the resistor leads to the zone valve
or equipment damage can occur.
• Do not handle the resistor when the TACO zone
valve has power. The resistor can be warm.
3. Turn the system power on.

POWER SUPPLY. PROVIDE DISCONNECT MEANS AND
OVERLOAD PROTECTION AS REQUIRED.
BEND THE RESISTOR AWAY FROM THE ZONE VALVE

CHECKOUT
1. Set the thermostat heating setpoint to 10°F (6°C)
above the room temperature.
2. Watch the thermostat display for approximately
5 minutes to be sure the display does not go blank
during the call for heat.
3. Reset the thermostat to a comfortable setpoint.
