2-2-1. VTR Y Adjustment
Equipment : Waveform monitor
Test Point
: TEST OUT connector
Preparations:
. Connect the waveform monitor to the TEST OUT
connector.
. OUTPUT/DCC switch (on the side panel) → BARS
. RGB/ENC switch (on the side panel) → ENC
. WHITE BAL switch (on the side panel) → PRST
Adjustment Procedures:
1. Set the DISP switch (on the side panel) from OFF to
MENU while holding down the MENU SEL switch
(on the front panel).
2. Set the menu as follows, and adjust the Y sync by
using the MENU SEL switch.

Specification : A = 40 ± 1 IRE (for NTSC)
A = 300 ± 2 mV (for PAL)
3. (NTSC only)
Confirm that the test setup "C" is 7.5 ± 1 IRE.

If the specification is not satisfied, adjust the test setup
referring to Section 4-3-3 "Test Out Adjustment" in
the BVP-550/550P maintenance manual.

4. Set the menu as follows, and adjust the Y video by
using the MENU SEL switch.
