Before every use:
Before each use, a thorough visual examination must be conducted to ensure the integrity of the PPE,
and the integrity of any other equipment that may be associated with it (harness-belt, anchorages,
connecting devices, etc.) See figure 3 and also to ensure that an appropriate rescue procedure is in
place.
If your product is damaged, please consult the manufacturer or its representative. If you have any
doubts regarding the safety of a product or if the product has been used to arrest a fall, (Fall Indicators
triggered See figure 4) it is essential for your safety that the PPE be withdrawn from service and
returned to the manufacturer or an authorised service centre for inspection or disposal.
Before further use of this PPE, it is your responsibility to obtain a written certificate from your repairer
authorising you to resume using the product. Otherwise, we assume no liability in the event of the
product malfunctioning.
Before each use, check:
That the date of the next periodic inspection is not overdue (see inspection label on the
product) Appendix 3 See page 207 (9)
All the webbing winds out and in freely.
That the braking function operates by giving a quick tug on the cable, which must stop
instantly Appendix 3 See marking, page 207 (7N)
The device is in good condition and the screws and the closing rivets are present and suitably
fixed.
The extremity of the webbing is suitably swaged or sewed.
The carabiners provided with the device function and lock correctly.
There is no trace of corrosion on the metallic parts.
That the extremity of the cable or the webbing is suitably swaged or sewed and that the buckle
is in good condition.See figure 5
That the Fall Indicators have not been triggered See figure 4
That the energy absorber has not been deployed and that the buckles are in good condition

That the markings are legible
If in doubt, or if any of the above-mentioned conditions are not met, the PPE must be
immediately withdrawn from service and destroyed by cutting the retractable strap.
Regarding other PPE equipment of the fall-arrest system, always refer to their user instructions:
A fall arrest harness is the only body suspension device that can be used with a fall arrest system.
We recommend that you check the following points:
No early signs of damage to the webbing.
No distortion of the metal «D" rings.

It is strictly forbidden to modify or repair a PPE yourself.
