A successful test is accomplished if all expected indications are
observed and no inoperative functions or display anomalies are
indicated or observed.
For more specific information, refer to an applicable AFM or
EGPWS AFMS, or contact Honeywell.
The EGPWS provides visual and/or audio alerts for detected:
• potentially dangerous terrain conditions (modes 1 – 4, TCF,
TAD),
• below glideslope conditions (mode 5),
• descent below predefined altitudes or excessive bank angle
(mode 6),
• severe windshear conditions (mode 7)
These consist of warning, caution, and advisory alerts based on the
detection alert threshold penetration. The following list identifies
the various alerts by type and mode:
