Good picture, no sound 7j Press MUTING so that Muting disappears from the screen (see page 40).
7j Make sure the
Speaker
option is set to On ill the Sound setting (see page 63).
7j Make sure the MTS option is set to Stereo or Mono (see page 63).
73 When the HDMI IN input is in use, surround sound, such as AC-3 and DTS,
cannot be input. Change the sound setting for the external input device to Linear
PCM.
Audio noise 7j Make sure that the antenna is connected with 75-ohm coaxial cable.
7j Keep the antenna cable away from other connecting cords.
73 To avoid TV interference, make sure to use an undamaged antenna cable.
Cannot gain enough volume 7j Increase the volume of the cable box using the cable box's remote control. Then
when using a cable box press TV(FUNCTION) once (the TV indicator lights up) and adjust the TV's
volume.
Sound seems weak or 7j The TV's audio might be set to Auto SAP or
Mono,
when it might be better set to
insufficient Stereo. In the Sound setting (see page 63), set the MTS setting to Stereo. If
already set to
Stereo,
switch to Mor/o (which may reduce background noise
during weak stereo broadcasts).
Cannot raise the volume on [3 If the
Speaker
option
is set to Off and the Audio Out option is set to Fixed (in
external speakers order to output the sound to your audio system), use your audio receiver to adjust
the sound (see page 63). Or, to use the TV remote control, set the Audio Out
option to Variable.
7j To turn on the TV speakers, set the
Speaker
option to On (see page 63).
No audio for HDMI [21 Confirm DVD player, set-top-box audio settings. Select 2 channel LPCM audio.

Cannot receive upper channels 7j Press ANT to select the VHF/UHF input (see page 39).
