DWDM XENPAK receiver is -7 dB. You must use a 10 dB attenuator on short fiber-optic cable runs to prevent damage to the DWDM XENPAK transceiver and to guarantee the specified performance. Immediately reinstall the dust plugs in the XENPAK transceiver optical bores and the fiber-optic cable SC connectors. Loosen the two captive installation screws that secure the XENPAK to the module.
