My Air Cleaner is starting to make noise and the air output is less. What's wrong?
The filters may be dirty. High amounts of contaminants can block the pores in the filter and stop
the air from moving through it. The ifD
®
Particle Filter should be washed and the
replaced at least every three months.
How long should I run my Air Cleaner?
It is recommended that you run your air cleaner when you are at home for air cleaning. The unit will
be more effective when doors and windows are closed. If desired or conditions warrant, you may run
your air cleaner 24 hours a day.

Pre-filter will destroy it. You can, however, wash the ifD

Filter.
How do I reset the Filter Status monitor?
After you have removed and cleaned the ifD
unit. After the ifD
Particle Filter is properly seated in the housing the CHECK FILTERS light will shut

off. You should replace the Odor & VOC Reducing Pre-filter
performance of your Air Cleaner.
What are VOCs?
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are emitted from various solids and liquids such a paints, cleaning
supplies, building materials, and permanent markers. Some of these compounds can have adverse
short and long term health effects and consistently have higher concentrations indoors than outside.

Why did my air cleaner suddenly turn on a higher (or lower) setting?
Is the air cleaner set to VOC Mode, or Allergen Auto-Set mode from the App? If it is, Allergen levels in
your zip code may be high or the AirGenius 6 may have sensed a higher level of VOCs in the room and
adjusted the cleaning level accordingly.
