disconnect machine from
power before adjustments,
maintenance, or service.

Schedule

For optimum performance from this machine, this
maintenance schedule must be strictly followed.

machine operation, if you ever observe any of the

Cleaning &
Protecting
Metal chips left on the machine that have been
soaked with water-based coolant will invite oxi-
dation and a gummy residue build-up around
moving parts. Use a brush and shop vacuum to
remove chips and debris from the working sur-
faces of the mill/drill. Never blow off the mill/drill
with compressed air, as this will force metal chips
deep into the mechanisms and may cause injury
to yourself or bystanders.
Remove any rust build-up from unpainted cast-
iron surfaces of your mill/drill and treat with a non-
staining lubricant after cleaning.
Keep unpainted cast-iron surfaces rust-free
with regular applications of ISO 68 way oil (see
Page 28 for offerings from Grizzly).
NOTICE
The recommended lubrication is based on
light-to-medium usage. Since lubrication
helps to protect value and operation of
machine, these lubrication tasks may need
to be performed more frequently than rec-
ommended, depending on usage.
Failure to follow reasonable lubrication
practices as instructed in this manual could
lead to premature failure of machine com-
ponents and will void the warranty.
