The user may zoom in and zoom out when utilizing the topology window to get a better, more defined
view of the configurations.

Single IP Settings

This window is used to view and configure the SIM settings. The switch is set as a Candidate (CaS) as
the factory default configuration and Single IP Management is disabled.
To view the following window, click Management > Virtual Stacking (SIM) > Single IP Settings, as
shown below:
The fields that can be configured in SIM State Configure are described below:

Description
Select this option to enable or disable the SIM state on the Switch.
Select Disabled to render all SIM functions on the Switch inoperable.
Description
Select to change the SIM role of the Switch. Options to choose from
are Candidate, and Commander.
Candidate - A Candidate Switch (CaS) is not the member of a
SIM group but is connected to a Commander Switch. This is the
default setting for the SIM role of the Switch.
Commander - Select to make the Switch a Commander Switch
(CS). The user may join other switches to this Switch, over
Ethernet, to be part of its SIM group. Choosing this option will
also enable the Switch to be configured for SIM.
Enter a group name. This is optional. This name is used to segment
switches into different SIM groups.
Description
Enter the interval in seconds. The range is from 30 to 90.
