AAA, DHCP, and DNS

The AAA, DHCP, and the DNS servers in the system are external server entities.
The external AAA server application is a third-party software product that is not provided by
Motorola. The Aradial application has been fully tested with the PMP 320 product and is
documented as the AAA server in this user guide. Customers requiring the Aradial AAA server
software must contact Aradial directly at
licensing. Technical support for any Aradial software-specific questions must be directed to
Aradial directly through their support services. Contact Aradial directly for software downloads,
licensing, and pricing or purchasing the Aradial product.
The AAA/RADIUS server provides authentication and authorization of CSMs (CPE).
The DHCP server provides dynamic IP addressing for the CSMs (CPE).
The DNS server provides DNS services such as Dynamic Domain Name System (DDNS) that is
used by the WM to manage PMP 320 elements by their device names. The DNS server also
provides the domain names to map the IP addresses to textual domain names. The APs and CSMs
also use the DNS server when resolving server names such as for the Network Time Protocol
(NTP) server.
