3. Check:
• Brake hose clamp
Loose → Tighten the clamp bolt.
4. Apply the front brake several times.
5. Check:
• Brake hose
Brake fluid leakage → Replace the damaged
hose.
Refer to "FRONT BRAKES" on page 4-17.
6. Install:
• Front fender
• Fuel tank top panel
• Seat
Refer to "GENERAL CHASSIS" on page 4-1.

CHECKING THE REAR BRAKE HOSE

1. Check:
• Brake hose "1"
Cracks/damage/wear → Replace.
2. Check:
• Brake hose clamp
Loose connection → Tighten the clamp bolt.
3. Apply the rear brake several times.
4. Check:
• Brake hose
Brake fluid leakage → Replace the damaged
hose.
Refer to "REAR BRAKE" on page 4-28.

ADJUSTING THE PARKING BRAKE

1. Check:
• Parking brake cable end length "a"
Out of specification → Adjust.

2. Adjust:
• Parking brake cable end length

a. Pull back the rubber cover "1".
b. Loosen the locknut "2".
c. Turn the adjusting nut "3" in direction "a" or "b"
until the specified brake cable end length is
obtained.

d. Tighten the locknut.
e. Slide the rubber cover to its original position.

After this adjustment is performed, lift the
front and rear wheels off the ground by plac-
ing a block under the engine, and spin the
rear wheels to ensure there is no brake drag.
If any brake drag is noticed perform the
above steps again.
