Adding neutralising agent

Neutralising agent (pH-level: acidic)
neutralises residues of alkaline cleaning
agents on the surface of laboratory
glassware and utensils.
For the neutralization of alkaline
detergents a neutralizing agent
needs to be used. It could be a citric
acid (free of phosphor) or a
phosphoric acid.
The neutralising agent is automatically
dispensed in Programme stage Rinse 2
following the Main wash cycle of a
programme. The dispensing system
container needs to be filled with
neutralising agent and vented.
In programme "Inorganica",
neutralising agent is also dispensed
for an acidic Pre-wash.
See "Programmable functions" for
details on how to vent the dispensing
system and set the dosage.
Dispensing chemical agents
^ Place the red container with
neutralising agent on the floor next to
the machine or in an adjoining
cupboard.
^ Insert the siphon tube into the
container and screw on securely
(observing the colour code).
