    Hardware Installation 1-1 Shut down the computer & unplug the power cord. 1-2 Remove the chassis cover. 1-3 Plug the Boot ROM into the appropriate socket if your order includes Boot ROM, if not, go ahead to 1-4. 1-4 Insert the card into an empty PCI slot. 1-5 Install the bracket screw to secure the card to the computer chassis.
  • Page 3 Connecting Network Cable 3.1 Connecting for 10Mbps Ethernet: Cat. 3, Cat. 4, and Cat. 5 UTP cables, as well as EIA/TIA-568 100Ω STP cable, all meet Ethernet cabling requirements. 3.2 Connecting for 100Mbps Fast Ethernet: Cat. 5 UTP cable is required for Fast Ethernet. Connecting Network Cable The instructions for software installation are given as a README file on the shipping diskette/CD-ROM.
